Interstellar BBQ | 12233 Ranch Rd 620 N suite 105, Austin, TX 78750Hours: Friday - Sunday, Wednesday 11:00am - 4:00pmJohn Bates, formerly known for Noble Sandwiches in Austin has created an elite BBQ spot. Rated #2 BBQ spot in Texas by Austin Monthly, it now has a Michelin star. The pork belly with homemade peach tea glaze is their staple item and what you need to go for. They also have some great sandwiches and our favorite sides were the Mac and Gouda, and Jalapeño slaw.
Barley Swine | 6555 Burnet Rd #400, Austin, TX 78757Hours: Friday - Sunday 5:00pm - 9:00pmA farm to table restaurant that offers an awesome tasting menu that changes seasonally. They offer the same menu through each of their seating options that they offer to everyone.
Leroy and Lewis | 5621 Emerald Forest Dr, Austin, TX 78745Hours: Everyday 11:00am - 9:00pm (Closed Tuesday)From a feature on “Somebody feed Phil” on Netflix of their food truck trailer to opening up their brick and mortar location, this BBQ is fire. They have some unique sides including the Frito Pie, and Caesar slaw. The brisket is what we recommend but also don’t sleep on their burger.
Craft Omakase | 4400 N Lamar Blvd Suite 102, Austin, TX 78756Hours: Everyday 5:30pm – 11:00pm (Closed Monday)Three former Uchiko chefs, Charlie, Nguyen and Tim opened up their own omakase right across the street from Uchiko and it is great. They offer 22 course Omakase tasting with different bites of nigiri, raw tastings, cooked dishes and desserts. The space is also really cool and makes for a great date night.
Hestia | 607 W 3rd St #105, Austin, TX 78701Hours: Everyday 5:30pm - 10:00pm (Closed Mondays and Thursdays)Voted a top 10 new restaurant in all of America in 2021 to now Michelin star, this restaurant. This is a great spot for a date night or a special occasion. All of their plates are meant to be shared. The halibut and the steak were our favorites and what we would recommend.
La Barbecue | 2401 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702Hours: Everyday 11:00am - 6:00pm (Closed Monday & Tuesday)A staple BBQ spot on the east side, La barbecue is a great BBQ spot that offers some awesome cuts of meat. The brisket, turkey and sausage links are all great. The BBQ sauce is definitely a must as its absolutely iconic
Olamaie | 1610 San Antonio St, Austin, TX 78701Hours: Everyday 5:00pm - 9:00pmBeen part of Austin’s restaurant scene now for 10+ years, Olamaie has received a multitude of accolades over the years from some credible sites include the Austin Statesmen. The Texas Raised Wagyu Beef and Golden Fried Catfish are two of our favorite entrees.
